A 5-line inscription signed by Frances Henking (her address and date underneath inscription). ALS tipped in, Henking explains (to the two people the book is inscribed to) her current health problems then reveals she saw a large ad for this book and was thrilled with the advance word (even though she has yet to sign a contract!). Signed with her initials. An historical romance. Old Testament history recounts the breaking up of the nation of Israel and the dispersal to the north, and west of first the ten tribes and later those of the two-triibed kingdom of Judah. 194pp. With epilogue and short bibliography. Neat stamp of the printer to rear board (in red). Laid in is a 24pp booklet, authored by F.C. Henking and published by Covenant Books, and printed by St. Luke's Press, titled "God's Continuing Kingdom", the epilogue to the Biblical--Historical Novel, The Tender Twig. This booklet, bound in stiff decorated stapled wrappers, has a two paragraph notice on the back cover for 'The Tender Twig" A near fine clean copy with neat ownership signature to front endpaper (inscribee) in a fine dust jacket.
