DIE NIGGER DIE! A Political Autobiography. Illustrated.

New York: The Dial Press, (1969). First edition. Hardcover. More than any other Black Leader, H Rap Brown, former Chairman of SNCC, has come to symbolize the ideology of Black Revolution, a challenge America cannot afford to ignore. This book records the journey he and so many of his generation have made from the Negro ("colonialized") America into which they were born, where "the first thing you learn is that you are different from each other" to Black America, which has existed "every since the first negro despised the injustice that was done to him and did not seek to accomodate himself to that injustice," and where Blackness is only a state of mind. A very good copy (name and address of previous owner to the top of the first blank) in a good only jacket with a small chip to the top of the jacket at the rear flap fold and a detached rear flap (though it is not discernable until the jacket protector is removed).
