Hollywood: Burn Again Press, 1989. First edition. Hardcover. 4to. Bukowski's homage to Red Stodolsky, bookseller and close friend. Only 50 numbered copies were bound in red cloth, numbered and signed by Bukowski. This copy being #47. Nine pages. Back in the day, when one visited Red at his Baroque Bookstore on Las Palmas in Hollywood, there would be a special copy of this on display that Bukowski inscribed to Red, "Two old birds / Still flying." Red would have the door locked, his back to the window and the street, and have his classical music playing, and, if you knocked, and he did not recognize you, you would be denied entrance. I bet those two old birds are still flying somewhere, up on high. A near fine copy in the original red cloth with spine and front cover label, with the original clear glassine dust wrapper, as issued. Item #14568
