THE COMPANY. The Screenplay Written By Barbara Turner. Story By Neve Campbell & Barbara Turner. Draft July 23, 2002.

n.p. n.p., 2002. First edition thus. Paperback. Original 103 page screenplay, 8 1/2 x 11 mechanically reproduced sheets, brad bound. This draft dated July 23, 2002. This copy belonged to a set director on the film and has two stapled sheets about the production (dated before release, March 14, 2003). The film was released (limited) on Christmas Day 2003. The film, directed by all star director Robert Altman, is an inside look at the world of ballet. Filmed with the complete cooperation of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Altman followed the stories of the dancers, whose professional and personal lives grow impossibly close, as they cope with the demands of a life in the ballet. Neve Campbell played the gifted but conflicted company member on the verge of becoming a principal dancer at a fictional Chicago troupe, and the other lead actor, Malcolm McDowell, plays the company's co-founder and artistic director, along with actor James Franco who plays Campbell's boyfriend and one of the few characters not involved in the world of dance. A near fine copy. Item #ESB11194
